07 - Itch.io Here We Come

We're so close to the finish line that we can almost taste it! With just one week to go before graduation, our team has been working tirelessly to add the finishing touches to our game. And we're thrilled to announce that it's now a public repo, so if you're curious, you can check it out here.

Recently, we held a public showcase on our campus, and it was amazing to see people play our game and have a blast with their friends. It's always a great feeling to see people enjoying something that we've poured our hearts and souls into. And with the release date fast approaching, we've decided to make it easier for people to try it out by releasing it on Itch.io.

As we get closer to release, I can't help but reflect on the journey we've been on. It's been an incredible experience, and I'm grateful to have been a part of it. Looking back, I can see how much we've grown and learned. But even though we're almost there, I can already see areas where we can improve, and I'm considering supporting the project moving forward. There's always room for more content, changes, and polishing. Who knows, maybe we'll even do more dev blogs in the future!

If you've been following our dev blogs, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart. It's been a pleasure sharing our journey with you. Your interest and support have kept us going. And even though this may be my last dev blog for a while, I'm excited to see where this project takes us in the future.

Thank you SLC the journey through the Game Programming course has been amazing. I couldn’t have gotten to where I am alone.

I also want to give a shoutout to James, our program coordinator, for his tireless efforts and support. Without him, I don't know where we'd be. And of course, I want to thank my group for being amazing to work with. We've come a long way since the beginning of the semester, and I'm proud of what we've accomplished together. Finally, I want to express my gratitude to Snowed In Studios, our mentors, and everyone who's helped us along the way. It's been a wild ride, and we couldn't have done it without you.

Releasing a game is a huge personal accomplishment for me. I've worked on many personal projects before, but this is my first game release. It's a big milestone, and I'm determined to keep updating it until it's perfect. I want you and your friends to enjoy it as much as we have.

So with that, I bid you farewell for now. Thanks for reading, and I hope to see you around!
